My New Adventure
My good friend Brian Gardner took the headfirst entrepreneurial leap a couple of weeks ago (or at least the first step) and I’m officially announcing the same.
As of Jan. 2, 2008, I am taking the plunge, or leap, or whatever you want to call it … and going full-time with my web design business.
I’ve served in churches and in Southern Baptist life for almost six years now, so it’s definitely a huge step for me and my family. It was also extremely hard to tell my pastor as I loved serving under him. I learned so much from him … primarily, about being a godly man, a husband and a leader. Read more
Announcing RockinThemes.com: Free and Custom WordPress Themes
My friend Nathan Rice and I have started a new website/blog called Rockin Themes to release our free WordPress themes to the public and also to offer our custom WordPress design services.
So far Nathan and I have released five free themes, with more on the way:
- RockinBlue - a 2 column sleek and simple theme that started it all (so far it’s got about 1,800 downloads)
- RockinBlue3Col - a 3 column version ofRockinBlue
- RockinBlue and Green - a funky 2 column transformation of RockinBlue
- RockinBiz - a blue 2 column, highly customizable theme designed for businesses (and churches)
- RockinBizRed - our biz theme, only with a classy red scheme.

Tim at LivingOS has some additional comments on my reasons to choose WordPress for your church website.

I Just Released My Second WordPress Theme - Rockin Blue 3 Column
Based on the great results I got from my first public release WordPress theme, a 2 column simplistic layout, which I called Rockin Blue, I just released a 3 column version of it today with some tweaks that I hope will make it an even better theme.
