ProBlogger Darren Rowse Interviewed by Tim Challies
One of the biggest and most read blogs on the blogsophere is Darren Rowse’s ProBlogger.net. I learned quite a bit from reading ProBlogger in the early days of starting this blog. (In fact, he was one of the first people I interviewed in my Blogging 101 for Pastors series.)
And he continues to be a huge influence for more and more fledgling bloggers as well as experienced ones.
Anyway, one of the biggest and most influential Christian Bloggers, Tim Challies, just interviewed Darren, who also happens to be a Christian minister in Australia.
My PrimeTime America Radio Interivew on Blogging 101 for Pastors
Paul Butler of the Moody Broadcasting Network’s PrimeTime America radio show recently interviewed me for a segment that aired yesterday about blogging for ministry.
Here’s the MP3 Audio of the 7 minute segment (3mb file) that includes an interview with Pastor Ron Daulphin and myself.
Facing Off with Brian Gardner
Daniel of Daily Blog Tips invited me to face off with my friend and fellow WordPress designer Brian Gardner.
One Rockin Site Map Generator WordPress Plugin for Your Blog
Check out this rockin plugin for your WordPress-driven blog or church website called Really Simple Site Map.It lists every post and page you’ve ever published and a solution to a more polish sitemap than the Google Sitemap Generator plugin (which still rocks).
See how it works by looking at my site map — and every post I’ve blogged about here.
I get dizzy looking at it … lots of sleepless nights!

Update: Lorelle of the famous and insanely useful Lorelle on WordPress blog stopped by to correct some things about this post. She gave me an education … and I’m just honored she stopped by! Here’s what she said in the comments that I don’t want you to miss:
Just a little clarification is needed here. There is a LOT of confusion between the terms “sitemap” and “site map”.
A “site map” is a listing of your blog posts on your blog, like a table of contents. This is what the poorly named “Really Simple Sitemap” does. It should be “Really Simple Site Map”.
A “sitemap” is a hidden XML file that is read by Google, Yahoo, and other search engines as a guide to all your blog posts. It isn’t “readable” by humans since it is inside a bunch of code. That’s what the Google Sitemap Plugin does. That’s correctly named.
You might want to fix your post to correctly label what does what. You offer such great information, I’d hate to see this confusion be perpetuated.
Thanks and keep up the great work.
Blogging Tip: Adam’s 4 Rules for Blogging
Adam McLane has some super advice for bloggers based on three-plus years of blogging … they were especially relevant to me and I thought I’d share his four rules for blogging:
Rule 1 – “Don’t ever write something you wouldn’t want your mother to read.”
Rule 2 – “Opinions are like … bellybuttons … everyone has one.”
Rule 3 – “Don’t throw gasoline on a fire.”
Rule 4 — “Beware of Trolls, learn to love Lurkers.”

The Ultimate Blog Comment Policy I’ve Seen and My Hearty ‘Ditto’
FMF has one of the best blog comment policies I’ve seen … and I’m going to be a total copycat and say … I love his so much I want it to adopt it as mine too! :-)
And some of you should do the same!
To boil down his policy, it goes like this: “I will take down whatever comments and not accept whatever trackbacks I want. Period.”
Blogging purists and idealists will say “Don’t control the conversation.”
But the conversation costs … in time and energy and money. And bloggers are the ones giving 99% of that!
