Beyond the Ultimate: The Faith Stories of NFL Coaches Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith

Check out this awesome website called Beyond the Ultimate related to the NFL Super Bowl and the coaches of the two NFL teams.
I love how Athletes in Action — “the sports-outreach ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International” — is using a relevant (and hot) topic — the Super Bowl — combined with the faith testimonies of historic, well-known and well-respected figures — two coaches with great testimonies for Jesus Christ — to reach out with the Gospel using the Internet.
The site also features testimonies from players on both teams — Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts — including: Dallas Clark, Jeff Saturday, Mark Bradley and John St. Clair.
Rock on, CCI and AIA and Beyond the Ultimate!!!!

I really appreciate the perspective and comments of Coach Dungy and Coach Smith. In my veiw they are both Champions. There are far too few people willing to stand up and speak openly about their Faith and their relationship with God. As an American it is sad to see the decline in moral values today. I attribute this primarily to lack of a personal relationship with God. In today’s society it seems to be all about “me” and not about “we”. When you start from that perspective with no foundation in a spiritual relationship with God, you are bound to get a lot of things wrong. I think it is safe to say we are getting a lot of things wrong today. Thank you Coach Dungy and Coach Smith. I pray that your thoughts, words and actions may touch the hearts of many and that they may seek to find the answers that will lead them to a more active personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
