Blogging Tip: Help People Keep Track of the Conversation

Although I’ve had the Subscribe to Comments plugin installed with WordPress that allows those who comment on posts to get emailed notifications of follow-up comments and such, Nathan pointed me to an updated version of the Subscribe to Comments Plugin, as I had a little trouble with it.

For active commenters on your posts, this is a great way to help your readers keep up with the conversation, including comments you make to theirs.

It’s a simple plug and play plugin.

I’m fond of that plugin. I always subscribe to any comment thread I join. It lets me know of any follow up comments, without me having to run around and check all of the posts I’ve commented on.

I upgraded to the newer version when I upgraded WordPress a week or two ago. Now that you’ve reminded me to check, I like the improvements.

I was subscribing to each comment thread via my RSS reader to keep track of everything but that got a little too cluttered. Now I use co.mments to track threads I’m following. Simple, easy, and clean - just the way I like it.
