Resource Links for 1/22/07

>> Public domain image resources from Wikipedia that you could use for worship backgrounds or images. Public domain, of course, means images that are no longer under copyright restrictions.

>> Most Innovative Churches on Squidoo is a neat resource from Church Marketing Sucks that includes links and other resources. (Thanks, Kevin, for the link!)

>> Kent sent me this handy article about blogs titled the 10 Sins of Blog Usability, which has some sharp advice, including my favorite sin — “No Contact Info.” Seriously people, unless you don’t care about anyone sending you an email, put your email addy up or have a contact form. Mine is corymiller303@gmail.com, by the way!

>> Speaking of blogs, Dr. Earl Creps has one seriously rockin’ cool blog. Dr. Creps is director of the Doctor of Ministry program and associate professor at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. I interviewed Dr. Creps for this Pastors.com story on questions a pastor candidate should ask before accepting a church/ministry position.

>> A new movie titled Amazing Grace will debut Feb. 23 based on the life of William Wilberforce. John Piper also has a book out on this influential Christian’s life. Pastors.com also has some resources for the movie.

>> Greg at Church Videos Ideas has a link to Video 101 Course, which is bound to be a handy resource for churches looking at doing videos.

>> Some Bling for Your Blog is a NY Times article about blog widgets. It’s also a great headline!

>> Ed Young and Creative Pastors offers their fasting guidelines handout as a downloadable, printable PDF here.

>> Saw this website on the news touting a free service to help speed up your Internet connections.
