CCP Links for 11-06-06
Here are some links I don’t want you to miss:
- Beginner’s Guide to Digg — Great primer on how to use this site. Although it’s a big “techie” news-type site, it can be useful for blogging believers.
- 5 Ways to Make Your Blog More Readable — via ProBlogger. Also see Why Blogs Need Minimalism, although I probably don’t practice it.
- State of the Blogosophere Report — from Technorati’s David Sifry, via MicroPersuasion.
- Web 2.0 Stars Profiled — Some of the founders of great sites like Technorati, Feedburner, Digg, etc. are interviewed here. Great insights into the Web 2.0 phenomenon
- Case Study on Facebook — Great site for learning how Web 2.0 companies, like Facebook, got their start. I signed up for an account at Facebook and look forward to learning more about leveraging it for use in ministry, like Dr. Alvin Reid does.
- Blog Starter Checklist — Some good stuff there.
- 7 Essential WordPress Hacks — From Tubetorial
Articles from Church Communications Pro:
- A Few Words on Crisis Management — With the recent fall of Ted Haggard, my friend and former church communications director Jennifer Anthony posted some tips on handling a crisis like that. Jennifer speaks from personal experience.
- Sermon Podcasting Made Easy — By popular demand, my tutorial on how to make a podcast using a blog.
- On Eye Candy and Paint by Numbers — The art and beauty of Web 2.0 sites.
- Free Church Branding Book
- Collected Wisdom from 50-Plus Bloggers — From the Blogger 101 series, I compiled the “one piece of advice” stuff into one document and PDF download report. By the way, you would have got this last week if you had subscribed to my email newsletter.
