La Shawn Barber is a political blogger, blog consultant and writer, blogging at La Shawn Barber’s Corner.
Here’s her answers:
1. Why (or how) did you start blogging?
I was writing a biweekly column for a few small conservative news web sites, and I started blogging in November 2003 because I wanted to rant between columns. There was so much going on in the world, and I wanted a place to express my thoughts and upload drafts of my columns for readers’ review. The blog took off and took over my life. I’m now a blog consultant and professional blogger for various companies, and I get paid for advertisements on my blog. My personal blog is one of the top conservative blogs in the ’sphere.
2. What subject do you post most about?
Politics.
3. What are your favorite blog tools?
I use WordPress for my three blogs, and I recommend the platform to clients. I use Bloglines for RSS feed reading and Site Meter for stats.
4. How often do you post?
I try to post at least once a day, five days a week, with weekends off.
5. What one piece of advice would you give for prospective blogging pastors?
Pray about your blogging!
