All the blogging experts agree … if you want readers and you want traffic to your blog, be like Santa Claus and make a list.
Plan to post lists of different things — books, movies, things you like, things you don’t like, people you admire, people you’d invite to dinner, whatever — often.

Lists are great for blog posts for three general reasons:
- They are easy to link to by others — thus helping build your traffic from other sites
- They are easy to create – come on, you can’t think of a list?
- And they are easy to read — they’re easily scannable and digestable
