Give Your Members the Best Tools for Outreach

Just scanning through some of the 100 fastest growing churches Web sites, I discovered Christ’s Church of the Valley’s site and on it … their outstanding “Outreach Tools” section.

Empowering your church members is one of the best ways to reach out … but giving them some fantastic tools to do that … well, that’s just INNOVATIVE!

Here’s what they offer, and don’t take my word, check them out with the links provided:

  • Write your testimony — step-by-step instructions, plus a link so they can then submit them to the church. I’m a big fan of members’ testimonies. It gives a personal face to the church while allowing those who give testimonies to share it easily with others [just forward the link!].
  • Life Preservers — answers to the “fundamental questions” of the Christian faith, including topics on Jesus, life in general, other religions, and the Bible
  • Answers to Tough Questions — categorized by main subject areas
  • Christian Music Selector — this is probably the neatest thing I’ve seen in a long time … a chart listing popular “secular” musicians with their compatible Christian artists. For instance, if you like “Creed,” then check out “Todd Agnew.”
